“When our daughter, Rachael, was in her last year of high school, we began to consider our options for higher education. We wanted her to develop her God-given musical talent as a possible field of ministry. We were looking for an environment that would uphold our standards and cultivate our daughter’s spiritual as well as academic growth. During the few months before her graduation, the Lord began to show us a way to achieving these goals for our daughter—through her enrollment in the Verity program.
“After visiting Verity Institute and talking extensively with its director and staff, we were very pleased. We saw self-motivated young adults under the direct authority of their parents and the delegated authority of the Verity directors. Although under supervision, our daughter was expected to schedule her time wisely, study seriously, and make daily spiritual disciplines a priority. She was given the freedom to develop her perspectives and mindset while in a spiritually vibrant atmosphere.
“However, we were truly unprepared for the effect the program would have on our daughter and the part it would play in influencing her life and character. One the first differences we noted was an overall increase in responsibility and maturity. We also saw her emerge into an effective communicator and develop a heart for God’s people in a desire to understand and a yearning to reach out and help. Also, we saw her develop a vision and a focus for God’s calling on her life. We are ever grateful for the staff and students who facilitated in helping our beloved daughter develop into the kind of young person we had hoped and prayed she would become and in whom we are well pleased.”

“Our family is just crazy about Verity! We had heard of Verity from Pastor Woody Shoemaker (our family’s former pastor) and knew that it had to be a good program. Knowing the character of the administration was a large deciding factor in the decision to attend.
“Our son received a superior education in a godly environment surrounded by gracious, godly people. We are continually impressed with the caliber of the young people who attend Verity and are extremely pleased that some of them will remain his lifelong friends and encouragers.”

“My wife and I chose to send our son to Verity primarily because I had been there to teach for two weeks and we got to see it firsthand. I don’t think there is any substitute for an on-site visit, if parents are at all able to do that.
“We were encouraged by the standards that are maintained but also by the freedom that students are given to make some of their own choices as well. We were blessed by the camaraderie that we saw among the students and the respect they have for the staff. We loved the price, of course, as it compares to a traditional program; and we also loved the fact that a degree could be earned in less than two years!
“We feel strongly that our son is being well prepared for his future, and would have no hesitation sending our other children to participate in the Verity program.”

“Without a doubt, the deciding factor for us in choosing Verity was the Christian environment. It is very important to us that our daughter has godly friends. To our great delight, she has definitely developed many wonderful friendships at Verity Institute.”

“Our daughter has grown much spiritually [during her time at Verity] and her roots have deepened. The friendships she has made with other Christian young ladies have been very meaningful to her.
“It has been a wonderful and positive experience for our daughter. One interesting thing I’ve noticed is that since she has been at Verity, her trust of me as her father and her relationship with me have become much closer. I can’t help but think that the Christian standards at Verity, along with a very nurturing staff, have had some part in that.”
