Political Science
“For the kingdom is the Lord's: and he is the governor among the nations.” (Psalm 22:28)
Today America is blindly following after the masses pursuing the ways of men rather than seeking to steadfastly follow the ways of God. When it comes to politics, there are few areas in contemporary society where the need is greater for leaders who will take a stand for the lordship of Christ and impact the world by proclaiming truth.
A society is influenced most by its leaders. Scripture repeatedly instructs that when the righteous are in authority, the people rejoice. Recognizing this, Verity believes it is imperative that Godly leaders be trained and prepared to serve the American people by holding office in the legislative, executive, and judicial branches of government. The objective of the Political Science program is to give students an understanding of how governmental systems operate, and to instill in them an unshakable commitment to the vision of self-government under the absolute and transcendent “laws of nature and of nature’s God” forged by America’s Founders.
