Animal Science
“Thou madest him to have dominion over the works of thy hands; thou hast put all things under his feet. All sheep and oxen, yea, and the beasts of the field;” (Psalm 8:6–7).
One of the very first commands God gave to man was to have dominion over the earth. Unfortunately, this command has been corrupted and ignored by our modern culture; on one extreme resources are being exploited and wasted, and on the other extreme animal rights are being placed on the same plane as human rights. Our culture needs godly Christians who are willing to defend God’s mandate for humankind to dominate the earth while treating it as a treasure that God has entrusted to us.
Verity’s Animal Science program provides academic training for students interested in pursuing a career in animal care or for those who merely wish to learn more about the Creator and the wonderful creatures He has placed under our charge. God Himself is referred to as a Shepherd, and we understand more about His character as we learn to be shepherds of the creatures He has given us.
Students interested in applying to veterinary school would need to take additional courses with lab classes from a local college.

Internships
Degree-related internships are available for onsite students to give them experience in their degree programs. Program Advisors work with students to locate opportunities that relate to individual interests and goals.
