Distance Education
Verity’s Distance Education (DE) program is designed to provide academic accountability for students who desire to earn a degree from home.
A student’s acceptance to the DE program is based on academic proficiency and self-motivation.
Program Advisors call bi-weekly to monitor progress and to field questions. They also supply all necessary study materials, monitor the community discussion forum, and can be reached during business hours by e-mail.
Students are responsible for finding a testing center, returning books, and communicating with their Advisor. An onsite orientation introduces students to how the program works. Students also submit weekly meditation commentaries on assigned passages of Scripture.
Tuition includes six weeks of onsite class participation, with additional weeks available as needed.
Verity Institute currently offers the following areas of study for both onsite and distance education students:
- Animal Science
- Biology
- Business
- Communications
- Computer Information Technology
