Biology
“I will praise thee; for I am fearfully and wonderfully made: marvellous are thy works; and that my soul knoweth right well” (Psalm 139:14).
Of all the fields in our society today, few are as thoroughly dominated by secular teachings as the area of science. Yet at the same time, there are few more powerful witnessing tools than revealing to the world God’s almighty power through insights into His creation. There is a great need for Christian scientists who are equipped and willing to proclaim the proof of God’s handiwork in the science arena and to confront the secular forces in debates ranging from the origins of the earth to cloning and genetic engineering. It is the goal of Verity’s Biology program to prepare students to enter these battlegrounds by providing them with the knowledge and training to understand the science field as well as the Biblical foundation to identify and refute the false teachings. We desire them to be able to reveal to others not only the facts of physical life but also the way to eternal life through Christ.

Internships
Degree-related internships are available for onsite students to give them experience in their areas of study. Program Advisors work with students to locate opportunities that relate to individual interests and goals. Possible internships include volunteering at a local hospital.

Students interested in applying to medical school would need to take additional courses with full lab classes from a local college.
