Verity Fast Facts
Mission
“Higher education for a higher calling.” Verity’s mission is to be a training ground for devoted, God-honoring young men and women who, upon the completion of the program, will be able to build their lives around God’s Word, make disciples of all nations, effectively fulfill their life calling, and bring honor and glory to God through our Lord Jesus Christ.
Location
Verity is located in the suburbs of Indianapolis, Indiana. Students live and study at IBLP’s South Campus. Some students may be able to study from home instead via our Distance Learning program.
History
Verity was established in 2001 with the goal of developing an innovative higher education program that avoids the pitfalls of modern colleges and prepares young adults to be disciple-makers of our Lord Jesus Christ. Two years later, in the spring of 2003, the first Verity class graduated. Since Verity’s beginning in 2001, six classes with over 250 students have graduated.
Academics
Verity assists students in their pursuit of a fully-accredited Bachelor of Arts or Science degree in the following degree programs: Animal Science, Biology, Business, Communications, Computer Information Technology, Criminal Justice, English, Humanities, Journalism, Liberal Studies, Music, Nutritional Science, Political Science, and Social Sciences and History.
Student Life
The goal of Verity Institute is to integrate God’s truth (“verity”) into every area of a student’s personal development and learning. At Verity, we believe students should work hard and play smart. We encourage our students to maintain a healthy balance of study, fellowship, and recreation. This whole-life approach furthers a young adult's preparation for a life that brings glory to God and benefit to others.
Tuition
Program costs vary, depending on factors such as a student’s length of stay, specific standardized tests and correspondence courses taken, and the tuition to the college in which the student enrolls. See the Program Costs page for more information.
